Task Force For International Cooperation On Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research

Governmental Decision no. 672 of 5 May 2004 designated 9 October as the "Commemoration Day of the Holocaust in Romania". This was because 9 October was the date on which Romanian troops began the deportation of Jews from Bessarabia, Bucovina and Southern Bucovina to Transnistria.
