Transforming Holocaust education in English schools
The United Kingdom has launched one of the most far-reaching and ambitious programmes of teacher professional development in Holocaust education existing in the world today.
The HEDP is part of the world-renowned Institute of Education, a graduate college of the University of London, which is the United Kingdom's leading institute for educational practice, theory, and policy.
Offered free of charge to every state secondary school in England, this groundbreaking programme of professional development has the potential to transform how the Holocaust is taught and learned in English schools.
The research report is the largest endeavour of its kind in the United Kingdom and it is hoped that it will be of considerable value to all those concerned with the advancement and understanding of Holocaust education in the UK and internationally.
