ITF Plenary Meetings in Mechelen
The ITF held Plenary meetings in Mechelen under the Belgian Chairmanship on 25-28 June 2012.
For four days, experts and policy makers from around the world met to discuss the Holocaust as a contemporary political issue. The unprecedented character of the Holocaust will always hold universal meaning, and ITF member countries pledge to strengthen their efforts to promote education, remembrance and research about the Holocaust.
ITF Chair Ambassador Jan Deboutte met with ITF experts and government representatives to discuss their visions for the future. At its heart, the purpose of the ITF is to bring political leaders and social leaders together behind the memory and meaning of the Holocaust for the benefit of citizens of ITF member countries and the international public.
